Cleveland HiBORE Titanium Driver
Starting Mid-April 2006. Evolving through persimmon, steel, titanium and composite, the driver has not evolved beyond a three-century-old hand-shaped design : drivers have always been round. HiBORE has changed all that. For the first time, function is dictating form. Designed on a 15% larger chassis, the HiBORE is the ultimate high-launch / low-spin driver. Because of its unique crown geometry, the location of the center of gravity is lower and deeper than ever before. Consequently, it produces drives that go farther and straighter from a larger portion of the clubface than any other driver before.

Cleveland HiBORE Titanium Driver Features :

• Distance Driven Geometry pushes weight to the far perimeter of the clubhead, maximizing the MOI, adding to the playability and overall forgiveness. Maximum energy transfer with optimal launch conditions. Lowest, deepest center of gravity in golf.

• Inverted crown design aligns the sweet spot with the hot spot, maximizing ball speeds and launch conditions over a larger portion of the face.

• 520cc chassis gives a 10% larger face profile and 15% larger footprint (340cc head volume).

• CG projection aligned with COR hot spot results in largest sweet spot with 20% larger affective hitting area and produces tighter dispersion.

• Plasma welded SP700 beta titanium face enlarges the overall sweet spot by 20%. Large area at USGA legal limit (.830). Sweet spot has been moved lower on the clubface, unleashing the full distance potential of a driver like none before.

• 25 grams of discretionary weight placed low and deep in the clubhead provide high MOI. Produces higher launching and lower spinning drives without the losses in ball speed typically seen with high face impacts on other drivers.

• Extremely forgiving on offcenter hits with less loss of distance.
