Ping G5 Irons
Ping Golf is introducing in September 2005 its G5 Series. It is the first time in 46 years that Ping is launching clubs in all categories under one name simultaneously. The new series includes drivers, fairway woods, hybrids (november 2005), irons and putters. Ping also is introducing the i5 iron, a mid-sized club head with reduced offset.

Ping G5 Irons Feature :

• Larger custom tuning port helps stabilize the face of the club head, while improving feel and sound.

• Undercut cavity design results in a straighter, mid-high ball flight due to the center of gravity being moved away from the face.

• Enhanced perimeter weighting makes the G5 iron very forgiving.

• By increasing the moment of inertia off center shots are straighter and distance loss is decreased.

• Designed in multiple sections for maximum performance, the radius of the lead edge helps improve ground impact for better ball impact.

• A wider sole moves the center of gravity further back from the face, creating a higher trajectory.

Shafts

• CS Lite Steel Shaft : Varying wall thicknesses reduce the shaft's overall weight. A constant step pattern and a double taper tip allow for accuracy and consistency. Available in Regular & Stiff Flexes.

• TFC 100i Graphite Shaft : Progressive flex design provides a uniform flex profile throughout the set. Available in Soft Regular, Regular & Stiff Flexes.

• Ping 703 Tear Drop grip has a tacky feel for positive control of the golf club.
